According to the Public Relations Office of pouya Privatization Management Company, Seyed Ali Madani-Zadeh, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, speaking on recent economic developments in the country, emphasized the need to reduce government intervention in the economy, stating: “Expanding private sector participation and increasing the role of the people in economic activities will be the Ministry of Economy’s top priority during this term.”
Referring to the impact of the recent imposed war on reducing supply and demand in the market, he considered this a factor causing recession and intensifying economic challenges, adding that without proper measures, this trend may continue.
Madani-Zadeh also identified genuine privatization as one of the government’s serious objectives, stressing: “Mere transfer of ownership is not enough; enterprise management must also be handed over to the private sector in order to create the foundations for sustainable growth and development in the country.”
