Referring to limited resources and the country’s difficult economic conditions, he said: “Despite the challenges, Bank Melli has the capability and experience needed to support large-scale projects.”
Najjarzadeh also stressed the necessity of transferring state-owned companies to the private sector, adding: “Government management has reduced efficiency, and proper divestment can pave the way for the province’s development.” He described focusing banking resources within the province rather than transferring them to Tehran as an effective solution to improve liquidity and accelerate projects.
The CEO of Bank Melli stated that investment in leading, infrastructure, and energy projects is among the bank’s priorities and reaffirmed its readiness to participate in large-scale initiatives with the private sector. He added: “With the cooperation of provincial authorities, Bank Melli is ready to leverage existing capacities and constructive interaction to foster Mazandaran’s economic growth.”
At the meeting, Mehdi Younesi Rostami, Governor of Mazandaran, acknowledged the province’s infrastructure challenges and resource shortages, commended Bank Melli’s support for the province’s development, and called for continued cooperation. Similarly, Ali Babaei Karnami and Aliyeh Zamani, MPs for Sari and Miandoroud, urged Bank Melli to support Mazandaran’s projects, highlighting the bank’s crucial role in solving liquidity issues and driving industrial development.
Hormoz Pezholideh, Head of Bank Melli’s Mazandaran Branch Administration, also presented a report on the department’s actions in supporting production and project implementation, emphasizing the bank’s role in backing the province’s economic initiatives.
