Mazandaran Cement Company
To meet the cement demand of Mazandaran Province, preliminary studies were conducted by the Industrial Credit Bank. Accordingly, “Gorgan and Mazandaran Cement Company” (Private Joint-Stock) was established by the private sector on November 22, 1972, with an initial capital of 10 million rials. Following geological surveys, the current plant location was determined, and “Gorgan and Mazandaran Cement Company” (Public Joint-Stock) was registered on February 27, 1975, at the Companies Registration Office with an indefinite operational period. Subsequently, the assets of the initial company, valued at 19 million rials, were transferred to the new entity. The original private joint-stock company was dissolved on April 26, 1975. Later, upon the proposal of the Mazandaran Governorate and approval by the extraordinary general assembly, the company’s name was changed to “Mazandaran Cement Company” (Public Joint-Stock) on August 30, 1981.
