Momtazan Cement Kerman Company
Momtazan Cement Kerman Company (Public Joint-Stock) was established on August 15, 2002, with the objective of meeting the cement demand of Kerman Province and the nation, as well as creating sustainable employment in the region. The company commenced operations with a daily production capacity of 3,300 tons of clinker (equivalent to one million tons per year). After conducting technical, financial, and economic studies, the executive operations for the plant construction began on a 82-hectare site located 40 kilometers northwest of Kerman in September 2004, in a ceremony attended by the then Minister of Industries and Mines. The founding board of the company consisted of reputable Kermani investors in collaboration with Kerman Cement Industries Group, which currently owns over 37% of the company’s shares. This project is recognized as one of the first privatization initiatives with extensive investment in the country’s cement industry.
